G20 spouses to brunch with Canadian women of distinction

TORONTO — Wives of the world's most powerful men will break bread with some of Canada's most distinguished women Sunday.

It will be a brunch brimming with girl power as spouses of the G20 leaders enjoy brunch with some of Canada's most notable women atop the CN Tower.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper's wife Laureen hosts the Women of Distinction event that includes a magnificent view of Toronto's skyline and conversation with astronaut Julie Payette, Olympic medalists Joannie Rochette and Silken Laumann, and top business leader. Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq, Senators Pamela Wallin and Nancy Greene-Raine and journalists and television personalities Christie Blatchford, Jeanne Beker, Julie Snyder and Beverley Mahood are also on the invite list.
